Renovation of a historic villa for ceremonies: timeless elegance and contemporary comfort.
The dream of a local entrepreneur to create a refined and welcoming place to celebrate important events took shape through a meticulous renovation that preserved and enhanced the historic charm of a vintage villa, combining it with modern and functional solutions suitable for hosting ceremonies and receptions.
The main goal of the design intervention was to preserve the classic charm of the villa, enhancing it with design details that, while respecting tradition, perfectly integrate into the new context of exclusive hospitality.
The beating heart of the villa is undoubtedly the monumental wooden staircase that connects the ground floor, dedicated to the ceremony halls, to the upper floors, where the guest suites are located. This architectural element of extraordinary beauty, made of solid wood, underwent a delicate restoration: sanded and repainted to evoke a sense of warmth and refinement.
The staircase has also been enhanced by dramatic suspended lights, creating captivating light plays along its entire height, giving an intimate and solemn atmosphere to the ascent. Each step, now invigorated by the light, invites the guest to climb, immersed in a harmony of elegance.
The ceremony halls, located on the ground floor, feature original parquet flooring that has been carefully restored to perfection. The wood, treated and polished, reflects the light entering through the large windows, enhancing the sense of space and brightness. The furnishings, understated yet highly elegant, are designed to not detract from the grandeur of the room, while still offering comfort and practicality for ceremonies and receptions. The carefully chosen designer lamps become the focal point of the space. Each light has been selected for its visual impact: refined and modern shapes, yet with a touch of class that echoes the tradition of the past, creating a harmonious contrast between the old and the contemporary.
On the upper floors, the suites have been furnished to offer an exclusive stay experience. The light-toned carpet welcomes guests with softness and refinement, while the sand-colored upholstered furniture with enveloping textures meets the needs of both comfort and elegance. The drapery of the curtains, also in natural tones of sand and beige, blends seamlessly with the rest of the decor, creating an atmosphere of tranquility and sophistication. The walls are treated with light plaster in soft tones, enhancing the natural brightness, while the elegant and functional decorative lamps also serve as true design objects. Each suite is designed to offer guests a corner of well-being and intimacy, perfect for resting after a day of celebrations or as a relaxation space during their stay.
The aim of the intervention was ultimately to create an environment that met the needs of a sophisticated clientele, while also providing the warm and familial sense of welcome typical of a private villa. The villa, now fully renovated, stands as the ideal venue for celebrating weddings, receptions, christenings, and other special occasions, in a setting that perfectly blends the charm of tradition with the demands of modernity.
Every detail, from the restoration of the wooden staircase to the selection of the furniture, has been designed to offer each guest a true sensory experience, where design, light, colors, and the quality of materials all come together to make every event a unique and unforgettable occasion.
